PGP and Security
================
We encourage you to use PGP to verify that the files in this
archive were not tampered with. This document is not designed
to explain to you how to use, install, or encrypt files with
PGP.
We have created a detached signature for the executable files
in this package. You can get a copy of our PGP public key by
sending a e-mail message to getpgp@command-hq.com The response
will have our PGP public key. DO NOT TRUST ANY OTHER PUBLIC KEY
REPOSITORIES! OBTAIN OUR PUBLIC PGP KEY DIRECTLY FROM US!
We will send you the public key of:
Central Command Inc. <support@command-hq.com>
Key fingerprint = D1 B5 36 22 52 CD 5C 3D EA C4 BE 93 A6 DB 8E D3
Assuming you have installed PGP and added the public key of Central
Command Inc., you can verify each of the files by giving
the command below. Please perform the verification for each file!
example:
pgp avpve.asc avpve.exe
You should then see something like this:
File has signature. Public key is required to check signature.
File 'avpve.$00' has signature, but with no text.
Text is assumed to be in file 'avpve.exe'.
Good signature from user "Central Command Inc. <support@command-hq.com>".
If, instead, you get a "bad signature" message, it means that either you
are using the wrong signature, or that the file has been tampered
with. If this happened please contact us as soon as possible!
